A distracting immersive experience for users who need that additional support, this is the ultimate in de-escalation. What calms and relaxes one person is different from the next, so this package allows you to create themes to suit each individual.

Using Experia's specially designed IRiS Room Director software, you can create scenarios on any theme, specific to what calms the particular user. Simply drag and drop videos, relaxing music or sounds, images, triggers for the colour changing IRiS Bubble Wall and colour changing IRiS Ceiling Tiles (choose from a variety of designs) onto a simple-to-use timeline, to create a multisensory calming experience.

You can take your users away from thoughts of whatever has overwhelmed them, to the beach, up into the mountains, back in time, or wherever they find the most peace and tranquillity, and match the lighting in the room to the colours within the video of your choosing, making this package the ultimate in de-escalation.

And so that users can't hurt themselves when in the room, it also features Experia's superior soft padded walls and floors to allow users to release their negative energy. Unlike some manufacturers, the mounting points for our wall pads are hidden behind the pads themselves so that all pads sit flush against each other and the walls, without any unsightly or dangerous framework. We also provide more mounting points, along all edges of the wall padding, than some other sensory providers, for added safety and peace of mind.

The wall padding measures 72mm deep (60mm of foam, 12mm of supporting timber backing), and stands 2m tall with a tapered top edge to minimise instances of climbing. The floor padding measures 100mm deep (100% reconstituted toughened vinyl-covered foam), which provides the optimum amount of stability underfoot whilst protecting users from falls or when releasing their frustration. The vinyl we use is purposely designed for challenging environments, manufactured from the a UK woven nylon substrate base with a coating of the highest quality plasticised PVC polymer to make it both tough and wipe-clean. It has a tear strength to BS 3424:1982 Part 5: Method B standard.
